Nancy began Chimera Communications, Inc. in 1993 in Albany, New York and moved the business and her life to Durango, Colorado in June of 1996. She holds a BA in English and Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. Having started her communications career at VOGUE magazine on Madison Avenue in New York as a features writer, she returned to New Hampshire and worked in the advertising industry for several years. She’s worked on the client side of the fence in banks (big and small) and with General Electric’s R&D Center.

Russ is a dedicated and motivated senior business leader with over 20 years of experience leading companies in their growth and operations management. He’s known as a “startup” specialist and “change agent” with an innate skill to look at business logically and develop long standing relationships with business partners. Russ has managed employees and built relationships in multiple regions, nationally and internationally. His long-term business relationship with Nancy brought him to Chimera to “run things” so the Creatives can do what they do best.

Lisa has been with Chimera since 2008. She brings ideas to life like GE brings good things to life (or at least they used to when that was their slogan). Without her we wouldn’t have anything to show for what’s in the brains of the creative team and our clients. She knows that you can put a lot of make-up on a corpse but it’s still dead, so she does not OVER-design. Lisa is the fastest creative cloud gun in the west (or the east for that matter), and so our clients are spoiled with fantastic design and quick turn. BC (Before Chimera) she was the lead designer of trade publications, wearables magazines, and freelanced for a time. She loves the creative process and is fueled by coffee and chocolate. She calls Chimera her “personal 100 acre wood” (Pooh reference) and thinks that whistling is not a requirement if you’re a fish (or a graphic designer). Her favorite color is army earthy green and that’s why you see it on our website.

A graduate of Platt College in San Diego, California, where he studied print, web and multimedia design, Mark has been creating websites since 2001. While design was his initial focus, search engine optimization, usability, email marketing, web analytics and pay-per-click marketing are part of his daily bag of tricks. He’s Mr. Web. Once you see how it’s really supposed to be done, there is no turning back…and Mark knows how it’s really supposed to be done. He cares about what websites and digital marketing actually return for our clients and weaves those discussions into the planning of new or newly designed sites. He knows that websites are 24/7 sales people and they should be dressed, have nothing icky in their teeth, and alive to do their job. Mark is a mountain biker (downhill is his fav) and he doesn’t know his own strength (like during the Chimera golf outing when he broke Nancy’s driver on a swing off the tee). We do know he’s a strong part of our team and an asset to our clients.

Gwen recently brought her talents to Chimera Communications, Inc. and is leading our Client Service and Business Development efforts. As an agency insider in California, Gwen focused her talents on media planning and placement before she moved to the Media side of the fence and entered into the world of radio in 2004. Beginning as a Radio Sales Manager, Gwen quickly rose from sales to her most recent position in taking a start-up radio station from the ground up. Gwen built XRock Radio in Durango to one of the area’s most respected and popular stations as a valued media outlet and as a consumer favorite for music and entertainment.

Cassidy joined the Chimera team in June 2015. She is extremely detail oriented and makes ideas actually happen. She’s our google girl and writes a mean analytics report. If you want to know where a project stands, Cassidy knows. She’s the traffic cop here but we don’t make her wear bright yellow. Cassidy wears many hats at Chimera including all things that make our clients feel loved as well as copywriting and web content development. After graduating from the University of Miami in Florida with a BBA in marketing and a few PR internships under her belt, Cassidy returned to her hometown of Austin to start a career in advertising. She began on the agency side as a member of a media planning team at GSD&M for clients such as AARP and HomeAway. She eventually migrated to tourism marketing for the state of Texas. After nearly two years at the Texas Office of the Governor, the mountains came calling and some singing nuns convinced her that she must climb/hike every one of the Colorado mountains. She’s made a dent in her Julie Andrews pursuit and so if you want to go for a hike, let her know.
